Happy Holidays!

Ahhhh….. the holidays are upon us. Time to look great even when you are sometimes exhausted and overextended.  Do not fear…..I have a few last minute tips for you to get you through the holidays.

Look your best in the New Year!

Hydrate, hydrate and hydrate some more. Sure, enjoy a cocktail but be sure to consume lots of water as well.

Eat skin friendly foods like fruits and veggies. If you are attending a party and asked to bring something, make it a veggie platter. This way, you’re sure to consumer low calorie snacks that are also good for your skin.

Get plenty of rest—give yourself the gift of a nap. Rest is great for our skin.

Stress wrecks havoc on your skin. It is true. Keep stress to a minimum.Gratefulness combats stress. Adopt an attitude of gratitude, feel better and look better too.

Exercise when you can.  Dance, bundle up and take a walk with a friend, hit the treadmill—all great to rid your body of toxins. Don’t be afraid to sweat.

Finally, whether you're away or home with your relatives, remember to use your glycolic daily. Your skin will glow and your family and friends will notice. Visit www.clinage.com for more information.

Clinage wins at the Fashion Group International® Detroit, Inc.’s Inaugural Awards Ceremony Dec. 6, 2012

Just last week, Clinage won the Best Beauty (Product) award at the Fashion Group International® Detroit, Inc.’s inaugural awards recognition presentation event called Night of Stars. This event honors metro-Detroit’s fashion and design related industries. Awards were presented in the areas of Accessories, Automotive Design, Beauty, Fine Jewelry, Home/Interior Design, Mens & Womens Ready To Wear and Retail.

This magical evening I was honored to attend took place at the Detroit Opera House. This award is very special to me. Our hard work and faith in my dad’s dream for affordable beauty products was once again recognized. It validates our product line. It empowers me to work even harder to help more adults and teens improve their skin for the long haul. I am humbled and inspired all at the same time.

Thank you, my blog readers and Clinage users for believing in us. In the new year, use your glycolic regularly, cleanse, hydrate, apply topical vitamins, stay out of the sun, yes, again hydrate, keep the stress to a minimum, get enough rest and be well. I believe 2013 is going to bring great things.

Why not have fabulous skin at an affordable price while you are busy loving, living and enjoying all that life has to offer? I wish you all a wonderful Holiday season. Take a few minutes each day for you. Your skin will thank you.

Ahh… the busy holiday season is upon us and in full swing.  I’m sure many of you have noticed dry skin once the colder weather arrived, the humidity level dropped and the moisture in the air decreased.

While we’re all fondly remembering our recent summer fun in the sun (with its sneaky damage) it only added to dry skin.  But do not worry too much—you can alleviate the problem by hydrating.

Our busy lives make is easy to sometimes forget to hydrate ourselves internally and externally.  Dehydrated skin can be rescued by recognizing the early signs of dehydration.  Dehydrated skin is itchy, flaky skin with redness or patches of redness, a rough texture to the skin (instead of smooth) and those unwanted fine lines.

Drinking water daily helps to keep the skin, which is our largest organ as well as our other organs, hydrated internally. Eat lots of fruits and veggies too. Additionally, using a hydrating moisturizer will help externally.  Moisturizers containing glycolic really penetrate the deeper layers of the skin, increasing molecules that collect and retain moisture.  These molecules are called GAGS.

Check your home humidifier and make sure it is working.  You may need to add moisture with a small, portable humidifier.  Again, remember to hydrate internally by drinking six to eight glasses of water and avoid pop and caffeine.  Try not to take extremely hot showers and limit your time in the shower. Moisturize your skin daily from head to toe.

Look for products such as Clinage’s containing Vitamin A, C, and E. Apply a spray mist before using your moisturizer to help absorption. Our Clinage Renewal Spray Mist with green tea and vitamins is also a great choice and makes a wonderful gift too.

Until next time…..hydrate and stay well…..Visit clinage.com for more info.
